Construction
The Rustler 36 was designed by Holman and Pye as a seaworthy "go-anywhere" long-distance fast cruiser with a long cutaway fin keel,
relatively narrow beam - elegant and graceful.
This yacht was built by Orion Marine (Falmouth)Ltd (1984) and completed with the first owner at Maltings Marine (East Anglia) by 1997. Ballast is a lead casting comprising 3.4 tons and fully encapsulated in the keel.
White GRP hull with alloy toe rails. White GRP superstructure, long keel with keel hung rudder. 
Whitlock Cobra rod wheel steering. 
Aft self draining cockpit with teak laid decks
Hull moulding under Lloyds Register Certification +100A1

Vetus 4.14 four cylinder 33hp marine diesel engine (1996) with ZF Hurth gearbox.
Fresh water cooled via heat exchanger.  New gearbox fitted 2025.New starter motor fitted 2026. Full engine service 05/2026.
Shaft drive via Aquadrive coupling to 3 blade fixed right-handed propeller 
Twin diesel filters. Maximum speed under power 7 knots; cruise at 6 (range about 350 nm)

Saloon - dinette to starboard with single setae berth opposite. 
Chart table to port with galley opposite. Twin stainless-steel sinks. Hot and cold pressurised freshwater system. Force 10 gimballed two burner gas cooker with grill and oven. Isotherm refrigerator with new compressor 2025.
Aft cabin with ample room for 1 or 2 at a pinch. 
Webasto kerosene or diesel fired central heating (also heats the water). New 2025.

Masthead rigged sloop. Anodised aluminium mast (keel stepped) and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging 2014.
